Indication: For Skin and subcutaneous tissue infections;Infective otitis externa;Antibiotic cover (surgery)



Pharmacology: Used for the treatment of bacterial eye infections such as conjunctivitis. Framycetin is a broad spectrum aminoglycoside antibiotic. It is not active against fungi, viruses and most kinds of anaerobic bacteria.

Mechanism Of Action: Inhibits protein synthesis in susceptible bacteria by binding to the 30S subunit of the bacterial ribosome and inhibiting peptide chain elongation.
